Miao-Miao-see Bats (bats that bless temples and shrines)
Tour description
Every culture always has some kind of thought related to elves, which is religious. There are many gods around the world, when I traveled and studied in Europe, I always confused them with temples. I want to find the answer, however, it is quite difficult to understand what the difference is and how to appreciate their beautiful painting and design.
As a Taiwanese, like others, I have visited many temples and worshiped many gods, but for me it has always been "temple and god." I want to know and make it clear, that's why I work as a guide, I visit temples every day and also attend many seminars related to traditional construction. Wow, it's amazing! It is full of meaningful patterns and stories.
--What does it consist of? Why is it different from the rest?
As the first route in Guru, I would like to start with the temples, the theme is “Miao-Miao-see bats,” which will include Buddhist, Taoist, and Confucian temples. We will start at Yuan-shan station and walk through the culture of Japan, China, and Taiwan. It is a unique route that not only includes temples but also culture. Miao means temple, Bats means vampire, black and Halloween, however, in Taiwan, Bats means blessing.
