A local & professional tour guide living in Oldtown Antalya last 27 years. I will be happy to share my experiences with people who visit this lovely oldtown.
Welcome to Antalya & Oldtown!
I am Hakan, a professional tour guide living in this oldtown for more than 27 years and as a local I would like to show what you might miss during your stay in Antalya.
History is part of the tour but I will show you the hidden streets, houses, architecture, ben view spots, what locals do & where the locals go.
With this 2.5h tour walking, you will get chance to see almost every part of the oldtown with important details remained from every empire used to rule the town and how its changed within time.
Looking forward to meeting you and feel free to contact me anytime needed!
I will be waiting at Schiller Coffee Shop when you enter to the Oldtown from the Hadrians Gate. I have a long hair and a very long braided beard!
The most important landmark remained as original from the Roman Empire. Here is the meeting & starting point. I will be providing historical brief about Antalya and then will tell you about this important monument. We will spend here 10-15 minutes in the beginning. Please be patient :)
This will be our first indoor mosque visit, small but an important mosque in the Oldtown. Its a mosque converted from a church, we will see both Christian & Islamic patterns inside
This mosque & museum will be our 2nd indoor visit. We will be visiting this place indoor as its one of the best restored monument in the Oldtown.
1st seaview terrace. You will get chance to see the Mediterranean & Taurus mountains in one frame!
A watch tower that we will see over the panaromic terrace
Another park with seaview & harbour view over the cliff. Also the park has a really nice landscape with wooden sculptures.
This will be our last monument, there will be no indoor visit for this mosque, we will only talk about the minaret as its the most important part, then the walking will end here.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
This guruwalk does not have any reviews yet.
