Itinerary:
Meeting Point: Main Entrance Chantilly Castle
Introduction to Chantilly, explaining its historical significance. (Does not include entry to the castle's " Museum of the Count ". Tickets 18€ adults +25 years and 14.50€ 7-25 years - including entry to the horse museum " Les Grandes Écuries ").
First Stop: Hippodrome and Les Grandes Écuries
We will walk towards the famous hippodrome, one of the most prestigious in the world, home of the Prix de Diane. We will observe the exterior of " Les Grandes Écuries" , the imposing 18th century royal stables.
Second stop: Saint-Denis Gate
The emblematic " Porte Saint-Denis" , a historic vestige marking the entrance to the castle's domain and its importance as a connection point between Chantilly and the Île-de-France region.
Third Stop: Notre-Dame de L'Assomption Church
Built in the 17th century, we will highlight its role as the community's main place of worship. We will explain the connection between the church and the Dukes of Chantilly, who supported its construction.
Fourth Stop: Statue of the Duke d'Aumale
Henri d'Orléans, Duke of Aumale , who was one of Chantilly's main benefactors. We'll discuss his legacy, including his role in preserving the château and its priceless art collection.
Last Stop: Atelier de Chantilly
Visitors will be able to taste authentic Chantilly cream ( from €4.50 ) in a cosy setting. We will share the story behind this delicious creation.
