Calling all art lovers!  Are you a fan of weird art?  The Whitney Art Museum is famous for its show every two years of art by new emerging artists. : The Whitney Biannale  The museum also has a great collection and survey of early American art from Georgia O’Keefe to Edward Hopper and pop artists like Andy Warhol and Claus Oldenburg.

The Whitney Museum of American Art  focuses on modern (20th century)and contemporary art (art being produced right now)  On our tour we will highlight the permenant collection on display as well as the temporary exhibits which are always changing. 

We will look at about 20 pieces of art tracing trends in contemporary art with their roots in art history and trends in contemporary subject matter.
