Tour description

Book the most comprehensive free tour of the city with the Explora Valladolid team of guides.

Look for our yellow umbrella to learn about the history of the main monuments. With our free tour, in addition to discovering the most relevant historical events, we will tell you the most outstanding curiosities of our city.

Enjoy a unique experience with a mix of history, culture, gastronomy, interesting facts but above all a lot of passion!

The meeting point is in the Plaza Mayor next to the sculpture of Count Pedro Ansúrez. After learning about his history, we will head to the nearby Plaza de Fuente Dorada.

Once we have discovered the origin of the name of this square, we will head to the Gutiérrez Gallery, a 19th century Parisian-style shopping gallery, a must-see in the city.

The next point we will visit is the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Assumption. Known as “the Unfinished”, it is one of the most important works in the Herrerian style. After the cathedral we will be able to see the sculpture dedicated to Cervantes and the façade of the University, the third oldest in Spain.

We will approach the Church of Santa María la Antigua, one of the icons of the Castilian-Leonese capital and then we will continue walking along the few remains of the wall until we reach the church of San Martín and the College of San Gregorio.

Finally, we will visit Plaza de San Pablo, where the so-called “royal sites” are located. These are the Royal Palace, the Pimentel Palace and the Conventual Church of San Pablo.
