Soho & Nolita Neighborhood Art + Food Tour
Tour description
Discover the charming neighborhoods of Soho and Nolita while exploring some of the food, history and art galleries along the way! Soho once an area of factories and manufacturing became an artists enclave in the 1980s, now a trendy scene for boutique shops and trendy restaurants. Nolita and Little Italy still resounds with its Italian roots and food both old and new establishments.
We will visit historic and current food places in both neighborhoods focusing on affordable hand foods like pizza, Korean snacks and savory Greek dishes. The tour also includes lots of desserts to choose from creative pastries, New York Cheesecake to Italian gelato. You will have a chance to sample some of the best food in each neighborhood but also learning about some of the popular restaurants where you can come back! We will also be taking a peak into buildings and spaces that define the neighborhood from SoHo’s cast iron buildings and art museums to Nolita’s old Italian churches and parks.
Along the way we will look at a classic cast iron building, visit an art installation or two, and a unique urban park.
Some of the places we will visit will include :
Lucie Pizza, YUBU Soho, Dominique Ansel bakery, The Drawing Center, Eileen’s cheesecake and Old St. Patrick’s Cathedral to name a few!
