"Following in Machado's footsteps" discover Machado's Baeza on this free tour.
Tour description
It is said that as a good host that Don Antonio Machado was during his stay in Baeza (between 1912 and 1919) and being so fascinated by the incredible heritage beauty of this city, he had the nice hobby of giving “guided tours” to anyone who came to visit him.
Although his stay was not very long, his legacy is still very present.
This tour focuses on the Machado-like footprint that the poet left behind in every corner of Baeza over the past 7 years.
As if we were wearing the same “black and somewhat dirty shoes” that characterized the poet of the “Generation of 98,” we will visit each of those unique places that he used to frequent.
Along the way, as something that cannot go unnoticed by any visitor to this city, we will get to know each of its squares and majestic buildings, as well as its attractive stories that will leave us completely captivated, (today and since July 3, 2003, they are included as World Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO declaration).
I'll wait for you!
