Hi, I'm Maria. I've been living here in Japan for 32 years. I love roaming around Osaka and sharing it's history and iconic spots and it's hidden gems that locals like me hold dear.
One of my favorite place to explore is the Osaka castle, because it's full of history, the more you dig in the more you want to know.🌸
They said people of Osaka are more humorous, talkative, loud and friendly. Let's find and feel the difference. 😅
This is a walking tour, but we can take subways to get to our destinations
efficiently using a one day pass for only ($5) ¥820 and ¥620 on weekends and holidays.
We might want to take shuttle bus inside the castle area for ¥300 yen per person, one way. This can be discuss by the group.
Have the experience like a local.😃
Let's enjoy.🥰
-Under the bill board of Glico running man, down the stairs. -If you are taking Metro, please exit at no. 14 『Dotonbori』
This area is famous for big bill boards and street foods. Glico running man has been in this area since 1935. It's the time square of Osaka where people have their count down in New year and also a place to celebrate Holloween.
A small alley way going to the hidden temple. This is easy to miss if you don't have someone to guide you. On the wall are the depictent of life and entertainment.
The time seems to stop here. It's like a time machine where it seems that you went back to the 1960's, There's a lot of small restaurant and each shop specializes to a certain type of food.
Used to be a big temple. But it was hit by the air bomb during the world war 2 and only one statue was left unscratched People splash water to the statue when offering a prayer, now it is covered with moss.
The highest stone wall in Japan. A very historical place. I will also show you the best spot for taking a pictorials.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
