Tour description
We begin our tour at Rathausplatz, the heart of Augsburg. Here, we’ll admire the impressive Augsburg Town Hall – a masterpiece of Renaissance architecture designed by Elias Holl. Right next to it, we’ll find the Perlachturm, a former watchtower offering a fantastic panoramic view of the city.
From there, we’ll head to the Old Stock Exchange, which was once an important trading center during Augsburg’s Golden Age.
Our next stop is Fuggerplatz, a central square closely linked to the history of the renowned Fugger family. We’ll learn about the economic and social influence of this powerful merchant dynasty that shaped Augsburg in the 15th and 16th centuries.
Next, we’ll stroll through the charming district of Little Venice, with its picturesque canals reminiscent of the famous lagoon city.
