Hello everyone! My name is Aizada and I am an architecture student in Nantes. I have been living in this incredible city for 5 years and would love to share it with you. I love learning about the history of this city and its people, and have worked on several projects building this city's architecture. I come from Kyrgyzstan, where I was a tour guide for 2 years!
Looking to learn as much as possible about Nantes in 2.5-3 hours? Then this tour is for you!
The tour will be divided into three parts: first, exploring Nantes during the medieval period; then, moving to the modern era and classic buildings; and finally, discovering contemporary Nantes.
For the medieval section, we will visit the Château des Ducs de Bretagne, the Bouffay district, and the Nantes Cathedral. During this walk also we will make stop in one of the best boulangerie of Nantes, so you could buy something to eat or drink.
Next, for the modern era up to Neoclassic buildings, we will head east and visit Place Royale and Place Graslin. We will also see the Basilica of Saint-Nicolas on the way and make a quick stop at Passage Pommeraye and the best tearoom of Nantes.
Finally we will stop at Memorial to the abolition of slavery, where we will have a view on modern Nantes, with its development centered around Île de Nantes, the ancient factory zone.
