Free walking tour in the old town of Fes
Tour description
Our tour begins with a visit to the Blue Gate: Bab Boujloud. On the way we meet the historic Madrasa El Bouanania, a venerable Koran school. From there we go to the Carpenters' Museum, from the Carpenters' Square to the second Moulay Idriss Museum and also visit the Qarawiyin University.
During our tour we discovered the charming narrow streets.
As we wander through these labyrinthine alleyways, we'll have the chance to see traditional Moroccan cooking techniques and bread-making in action. Our next stop takes us to the famous tannery, an old factory in Fes known for leather production. Here, you'll learn about the process of leather-making and even get to watch artisans working with copper and Moroccan antiques.
In addition, we will have the opportunity to admire Moroccan craftsmanship, with special attention to the exquisite craftsmanship of Moroccan dresses such as kaftans and jalabas.
But that's not all; we've also prepared delicious secrets for you to discover for yourself on this immersive tour. Prepare for a day full of cultural discoveries and hidden gems.
