My name is Laura Benadiba. I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I have been a researcher, writer and teacher since 1990, specializing in the methodology of Oral History🗣️. I consider that in addition to my academic studies, I have been 'forming myself', 'making my way as I go', writing theory based on the didactic innovation of my own practice and procedures. I feel deep gratitude to each and every one of the people who 'touched me' and 'I touched', even in the most ephemeral encounter, whether in the framework of a class, seminar, workshop, talk, conference, book, tourist tours, etc. My work is truly my passion and it makes me very happy to be able to develop it and share it. 💓
Did you know that the Immigration Museum has an amazing interactive exhibit where you can see what life was like on the boats that brought immigrants? Plus, there are touching stories of people who left everything behind in search of a new life. There are also traveling exhibits all year long. There is a contemporary art center and a visual arts museum and other cultural attractions. It's a unique opportunity to better understand the rich cultural diversity of our country 👥 and see how it has influenced everything around us. I promise you that it will be an experience you won't forget! Also, since I am a historian 👩🏫 and one of the topics of my research is migration experiences, you will learn new aspects that complement the information in the Museum. 🏛️
I'll be at the entrance wearing yellow-framed glasses
