Have you heard of Triana?
The most well-known and traditional neighborhood in Seville.
Its streets contain stories related to our culture, our music, art and gastronomy.
Cradle of flamenco , Triana stands on the banks of the Guadalquivir River, in front of Seville.
Discover with us the most emblematic places in this area; the first bridge over the Guadalquivir river, its traditional market , the old castle of the Inquisition , the history of traditional Triana ceramics , its streets, squares, traditions and folklore and its illustrious characters.
Come with us, Triana is waiting for us !
We will meet next to the monument to flamenco art, in the Plaza del Altozano.
This is the main square of the neighborhood, the Altozano square, the main entrance and exit, because here is the oldest bridge.
The Castillo de San Jorge, where the Triana Market now stands, was the seat of the Holy Inquisition in Seville.
A pottery district, Triana had numerous pottery factories. Today one of them has become the main museum of this craft so typical of the area.
We will talk a little about our Holy Week, one of the most important traditions and festivities of the city.
In this street, one of the main streets of the neighborhood, were located the so-called: Cava de los gitanos and Cava de los civiles.
Called the Cathedral of Triana, it is the oldest church in our city.
We will end the tour on the banks of the Guadalquivir, from where we will enjoy the best views of the city.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
