Jan has spent time living in Thailand and Japan and is now back in Singapore with fresh eyes (and ears) for anything pertaining to Singapore's history, culture and the arts. As someone who’s travelled extensively, his cultural sensibilities extend beyond the shores of this little red dot. He enjoys answering questions and sharing his honest perspectives of Singapore. Now and today, Jan runs these walking tours with a bunch of his loveliest mates, Roy, Adam, Edwina and Jamie. Say hi and give us a hug when we see you!
Welcome to "Bored of Singapore," where we debunk the myth of glitz and glamour peddled by "Crazy Rich Asians"! Step onto our quirky adventure through the real Singaporean lifestyle, far from the opulent excess of Hollywood fantasies.
As we amble through vibrant neighbourhoods, you'll discover the heart and soul of Singapore – its people. Come up close and personal with chatty store-owners surrounded by their quirky snacks and ingredients piled high, while observing locals find their Zen in our authentic places of worship!
Forget the lavish malls – we'll lead you thru where locals shop till they drop and conclude with late-evening snacks at a local hawker market. From heritage trails to hidden gems, our tour unveils the authentic tapestry of everyday life in this dynamic city-state.
So, if you're ready to trade in the Hollywood fantasy for an authentic slice of Singaporean life, join us on a tour that promises to challenge your perceptions and leave you with stories to last a lifetime. Let's embrace the weird, the wonderful, and the truly Singaporean together!

Massive evidence of how fast this little island has progressed, can be found here!
A cross road of prayers, gods & deities, food, snacks, sweets, cooking and fast-paced Singaporeans meet!
Crazy Crazy tourists buying this and that. Let's head upwards and what do we have here, CRAZIER cray locals cramped into tightest space to do just what?
And we pamper the tired legs, dry clammy lips with treats and we lay out our tour desk to take any questions, requests for suggestions and anything in between. Oh, you can buy us dinner too ><
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
