Embark on a group tour to Cu Chi Tunnels and rustic countryside sightseeing. Explore the war's history with a documentary, crawl through reconstructed chambers, learn about handmade weapons, savor guerrilla food, and even try shooting at the range
These are the highlights of the trip and what you will do with me:
1. Upon arrival, watch the documentary about the Vietnam War.
2. Learning how we made tunnels and booby traps
3. Walking and crawling underground tunnels
4. Eating lunch with tapioca.
5. Visting shooting range.
The itinerary of the tour:
Get picked up at the meeting place and then we will travel beyond the typical city tourist spots to a local neighborhood of Cu Chi, where you feel tranquil, peaceful, and happy while driving through many green rice fields, rubber plantations, and water buffalos.
When you arrive, we will do the following activities:
1: Watching a documentary film about the Vietnam War. Subsequently, we show you the diagram of Cu Chi tunnels and how it constructed with kitchens, bedrooms, storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers.
2. We will see booby traps and trapdoors. The trip's highlight is to experience of crawling and walking through the cramped and narrow passageways. There are now reconstructed chambers for you to see, as it was in the time of war
3. Learning more about the handmade weapons and traps used during the Vietnam War. Learning how the local guerrillas made the sandals from truck tires too
4. Drink hot tea and eat tapioca (guerilla food during the war) at the last stop. And last but not least, if you are interested, we can visit the shooting range, at an extra cost.
5. Lastly, We will go to the main road and catch the local bus again to return to Ho Chi Minh City.
Note:
- First option: This tour is run by bus as a group tour, so we need 5 guests to start the tour.
This tunnel tour lasts 7 hours because the tunnel is not located in the city, it is 60 km away from the city center. and It is run by local bus. We will met at the park called 23/9 Park, Pham Ngu Lao Street, in district 1. The tour is around 7:30 Am - 3:00 Pm
Please prepare a small bill cash in Dong to pay for the local bus ticket ( around 2$ USD for round way) , and the tunnel entrance fee ( 125,000 VND)
- Second option: If we don't get enough walkers to start the tour, you can consider to choose this option as private car (please let me know if you want to do this option after booking)
