Madrid Food Tour

Luis was very friendly and welcoming. He was very attentive to what everyone on the tour was interested in learning about. His knowledge of the foods and locales was very in depth. A great way to land in Madrid and wet the appetite!

V interesting tour. Went to a good variety of places to try different typical dishes. Information was at the right level. Due to the numbers of the group it sometimes took a while before we could move onto the next place. Got some good tips and insights into local cuisine. Was a fun tour

Our guide was able to talk about all sorts of topics about both food and history. Took us to good places and all had reasonable prices. Great way to start our trip and was fun to meet other people.

Our guide showed us a few places we probably wouldn’t have walked into on our own, which was a nice way to discover some local spots. One useful takeaway was learning that it’s often better to choose places that specialize in just one or two dishes rather than offering a very large menu. My favorite part of the tour was meeting travelers from other countries and hearing about their trips and experiences. A practical tip: bring small change so it’s easier to split the bill with other tourists. That said, the tour description mentions learning about the origins of traditional dishes and wine pairings, so I expected a bit more background and storytelling during the stops. There was more focus on asking what kind of food we liked than sharing information about the food and the city.
