Free Tour of Dresden: Its history through its buildings

My name is Alejandro and I am pleased to offer to guide you through the history, culture and architectural beauty of this fascinating city.

During our tour, walking through its cobbled streets, we will explore the most emblematic places of Dresden.

We'll start at the iconic Theaterplatz square, home to architectural gems such as the Semper Opera House and the majestic Hofkirche cathedral. I'll tell you the fascinating history of these buildings, and how they have come to stand the test of time.

We will continue our way to the splendid Zwinger Palace, a masterpiece of Baroque art.

And then, as we walk through its streets, we will pass by the largest porcelain mosaic in the world, “The Procession of Princes.” And we will end up at the Neumarkt in Dresden, where the bombing of Dresden will be explained through the history of the Frauenkirche.
