From Amsterdam's humble origins as a fishing village in a swamp to the charming architecture and global trade of the Golden Age. From the tragic experiences during WWII to the hippy culture of 60's & 70's and on to today's city of red lights and coffee shops alongside cafes and bars.
In roughly 2 hours, we'll stroll along the lovely canals with their slanting houses and bustling bicycle culture in some of the oldest parts of the city. Beginning at the stock exchange, sights include Dam Square with Royal Palace, the East India Co. House, and the artist Rembrandt's house, where the tour concludes.
