Taking a walking tour in every city a visit is a must for me - they never disappoint and this one in Izmir, with Arya, was no exception. From the start she was very easy to communicate with and accommodating. She is young, smart, witty and gives a very interesting tour. There were only four of us this particular evening and it literally felt like taking a walk with a brilliant friend. It is always extremely eye opening to me to go on a tour with someone younger than myself to get their perspective on the city they love and a city I want to learn more about. She was fantastic! I highly recommend this tour!

Arya was an absolutely fantastic guide and one of the highlights of our time in Izmir. From the very beginning, she made us feel welcome, and the tour felt less like a formal walking tour and more like spending the day exploring the city with a knowledgeable friend. She introduced us to the culture and history of Izmir in a way that was engaging and full of interesting stories and local insights. Beyond the historical landmarks, she also took us to some wonderful local eateries that we would never have discovered on our own, making the experience even more authentic. What truly set Arya apart was her personal touch. She genuinely cared about making sure everyone had a great time, answered every question with enthusiasm, and shared plenty of recommendations for the rest of our stay. If you’re visiting Izmir and want to understand the city beyond the typical tourist attractions, I can’t recommend Arya enough. She made our first day in Izmir unforgettable, and I would happily join another tour with her in the future.

Honestly the best tour we've had in a long time! My family of four did the Izmir walking tour with Arya and we couldn't have asked for a better guide. Her English is absolutely perfect, so communicating and understanding everything was incredibly easy for all of us. What made the experience really unique was how she explained the history. Instead of just lecturing us with dates, she brought along pictures and historical images to help us visualize exactly how the ancient sites used to look. It made a huge difference and kept everyone in the family super engaged. She took us to some really cool, interesting spots we probably would have missed on our own, and we even got to stop and try some amazing local food and products along the way. Arya is incredibly sweet, extremely knowledgeable, and just a joy to hang out with. If you are visiting Izmir, you definitely need to book a tour with her.

The tour was excellent! It was very pleasant and entertaining from start to finish. The guide was knowledgeable and engaging, the locations were beautiful, and the whole experience was well-organized and relaxing. I really enjoyed it and would highly recommend it to anyone. Gamza was a kind and friendly person. She was easy to talk to and took us around and told us some history. Our tour was one hour and we saw many streets but it would’ve been nicer to stop and try more local treats. She gave us many suggestions of places to try that we really appreciated and answered all of our questions.

An easy going Tour with an easy going Guide. Interesting fact about the cats that I'm not gonna forget. Guide Arya has an own formed opinion and it shows throughout the Tour. (good thing) You can ask questions and get answers so it was not just one sided talking. Imo Another food stop would have been nice. All in all a enjoyable Tour.😁

Gamze is so lovely! She took us on a nice walk around the kulturpark and the waterfront of Izmir. She gave us great insight into Turkish/izmir culture and way of life! I would recommend anyone spending a couple days in Izmir to take this tour and get to know the city from a local 🌸

We had an absolutely fantastic walking tour in Izmir with Arya, and I can’t recommend her highly enough. From the start, Arya was incredibly friendly, energetic, and easy to talk to. She was punctual, kept in touch via WhatsApp beforehand, and made everything feel really well organised and relaxed. Her English is excellent, and it’s clear she genuinely loves connecting with people and learning about different cultures. What really stood out was her depth of knowledge. Arya gave us a brilliant insight into Izmir’s history, culture, and way of life. She explained not just the key landmarks, but also the social and political character of the city—highlighting how Izmir is often seen as more culturally open and tolerant compared to other parts of Turkey. It added a whole new layer of understanding that we wouldn’t have picked up on our own. The tour itself was perfectly balanced—covering fascinating cultural sites while also pointing out some fantastic spots for food and drinks. We finished at a great local place where we tried one of Izmir’s unique delicacies, “the bomb,” which was a fun (and delicious!) way to end the experience. My partner has visited Izmir many times for work, yet in just a few hours with Arya, he learned more about the city than he had in weeks of previous trips—that really says it all. If you’re visiting Izmir, this tour is an absolute must. Arya brings the city to life in a way that’s insightful, engaging, and genuinely memorable.
