Hello, my name is Katija, I am a local tour guide. My family has been living in Dubrovnik since the 18th century. Dubrovnik is an amazing and beautiful place worth visiting. It is full of interesting stories and you can expect a two-hour tour full of historical details, telling you what life was like during the Republic of Ragusa (Dubrovnik) from the 15th to the 19th century and up to the present day. Also how I survived the 1991 war with my family in Dubrovnik.
The tour lasts 2 hours and the guide will introduce you to the customs, legends and various stories about the city from the time of the Republic of Ragusa/Dubrovnik (15th to 19th century) to the present day.
It may be too long a tour for children because the small town has a lot of history.
The meeting point is on the east side of the Old Town, Ploče Gate of Dubrovnik.
1. Stop is at Ploče Gate (Gate), on the Main Square
We will pass by the Dominican Monastery .
We will pass the Old Port: where wooden ships were built during the Republic of Ragusa/Dubrovnik.
2. Stop in front of the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary .
3. Stop in front of the Rector's Palace .
We stroll through the open-air market , which has existed for centuries in the same place, opposite the Jezuits steps , which is also very famous for the American series Game of Thrones.
4. Stop at Plaza Major Luza - Sponza Palace - former Customs Palace from the 15th century, city bell tower with clock and Church of St. Blaise, patron saint of the city,
And there is the longest street in the city called Stradun .
5. The next stop is Široka Street , the widest street in the city, so on that street we will see photographs of the destruction of Dubrovnik, during the Croatian War of Independence in 1991.
6. Walking along the street "od Puča " we reach the place where the orphanage for boys was located, one of the oldest in Europe.
7. We continue to the front of the Onofrio Grande fountain and the Franciscan Church and Monastery where one of the oldest pharmacies in Europe is located.
8. The end of the tour will be on the western side of the Old Town at Pile Gate .
When we finish the tour, you will see Dubrovnik with different eyes, the eyes of the past.

Passing through the oldest open-air market, we will see the fantastic Jesuit stairs from the 18th century, which are also popular because of the American series Game of thrones.
We return to the main square of Luža, which is also on the longest street in the city called Stradun, there is the church of St. Blaise, the Sponza Palace, the Town Bell..
