Tour description

On this tour I will show you a period of Madrid's history that today goes unnoticed in the modern and cheerful capital of Spain, when the city became one of the main battlefields of the Spanish Civil War. We will discover, on a walk between the Parque de la Montaña and the Parque del Oeste , an urban landscape with prisons, forts, trenches and shelters, and emblematic monuments and vestiges of the period.
Through the route we will reconstruct with images the major events of this war period, as well as what daily life and survival were like for the people of Madrid during those difficult times.
