Student of Art History at the Sorbonne, I suggest you visit the oldest neighborhood in Paris, the Latin Quarter .
We will start in the 6th arrondissement, in the beautiful 19th century Luxembourg Park , the favorite park of Parisians, where the Senate Palace is located. We will continue through the 5th district, we will climb a small hill to see at the top the magnificent building of the Pantheon, where illustrious men are buried. In this square we will also see the Saint Geneviève library , the old church of Saint Etienne and the oldest tower in Paris, the Clovis tower. We will begin to go down the hill to enter the Latin quarter, here we will find the oldest colleges in France, including the College de France , I will explain its origin and the importance of this neighborhood from Roman times to the present day. We will see the imposing Sorbonne University , I will tell you its origin and its importance worldwide. We will pass by the Cluny Museum , the city's medieval museum where part of the Roman baths are also preserved. We will walk along Rue Huchette , the most touristy area of the Latin Quarter, with its narrow streets full of multiple restaurants. We will then go to the oldest English bookstore in Paris, the Shakespeare and Company bookstore, we will see the beautiful Wallace fountain, and the city's small bridge, the Petit Pont, and we will finish at the Notre Dame cathedral where I will tell you its history and the progress of its reconstruction.
