I am Samir Mhella as a tour guide after having experiences in tourism 20 years ago. I know I'm not just selling the sights and sounds of a place, you're selling the entire package. That includes extensive knowledge about the area that most simply don't have. Naturally, I expected to retain a large amount of information and be able to recall it with absolute ease. Ultimately, you should be able to know your script so well that it flows naturally, like one friend telling a story to another, rather than someone working on a script. That's the kind of talent that only comes with a fantastic memory.

Tour description

Augustine said, “The world is a book and he who does not travel reads only a page.” This quote suggests that each of us should travel and see the outside world and not just our own.

As a result, we will discover this book from 1200 years back in history. My name is Samir Michelle and I am a professional tour guide licensed by the Ministry of Tourism, I have the best management of travel plans. But now let's start with an overview. During this tour, we wanted to discover together famous historical sites of Fes such as:

1- Bab Boujloud ; The old Bab Bou Jeloud gate was a simple, humble gate, possibly dating back to the 12th century.

2- Water Clock [Dar Magana]

3- Mederssa Bou Nania The largest madrassa in the city, Madrassa Bou Inania is a theological institute founded by Sultan Abu Hassan Marini (1331-1351) of the Marinid dynasty.

4- The oldest tannery in Sidi Moussa dates back to the early 12th century.

5- Nejjarine Museum of Wood Arts and Crafts in Fes from outside or with entrance fee

6- Islamic School Madrassa Attarine

7- Al-Karaouine (or Al Quaraouiyine) is the oldest mosque – center – school – university that exists and functions continuously in the world!

8- Second Moulay Idriss; the founder of Medina.

9- The local street food; We will try some local food.

The curent gate was built in 1204 by the Almohad ruler Muhammad al-Nasir (ruled 1199-1213), who rebuilt the city walls and fortifications of Fes generally. It was also known (perhaps at an earlier period before the Almohad construction) as Bab ash-Shari'a meaning roughly "Gate of Justice/Law"), but became known as Bab Mahruq (Gate of the Burnt") after the body of a Wazzani rebel called al-'Ubaydi was burnt here in 1203-04 (600 AH).[1]: 110  The heads of executed rebels were hung here on display, a practice
