Secrets of historic Santiago, a true journey through time
Tour description
Our free tour will be exclusively outdoors and will take us to the most epic places in Santiago de Compostela.
To do so, we will travel back in time to medieval and modern times to discover churches, squares and manor houses that are related to an event that took place more than a thousand years ago.
We will personally visit the place where, according to legend, the soul of a pilgrim can be seen night after night, as well as the exact point from which a medieval hermit saw lights in the distance that would change the history of the world. We will witness some places that seem to hide treasures and many others that remain harmless over time. In short, we will learn about the legends, still alive, that will help us understand the beauty and magic of Santiago.
Our route will take us through the following points:
- Museum of the Galician People (meeting point)
- San Roque Hospital
- Oldest house in Santiago
- Amarante Manor House
- Cervantes Square
- Church of San Bieito
- Church of Santo Agostino
- Food Market
