Guided tour along the banks of the Cali river from the Jairo Varela square to the La Tertulia museum, a mixture of nature and contemporary art
Welcome to Cali, the branch of heaven! We will begin our tour in the Jairo Varela Square, a space dedicated to the renowned salsa musician and composer. Here you can enjoy live music and appreciate the urban art that adorns the place.
We will continue our way along Paseo Bolívar, a pedestrian avenue full of life and color. You will find shops, restaurants and you will be able to marvel at the statues of historical figures that adorn this street.
Next, we will go to Bulevar del Río, a beautiful green space on the banks of the Cali River. Here you can enjoy and admire the nature that surrounds us.
Now we will go to Calle de la Escopeta, known for its colonial architecture and colorful facades. I will tell you interesting stories about this place as we walk through its cobbled streets.
Our next destination is the Casa Solar del Río, the city's Secretary of Tourism works here, we will visit the PIT tourist information point.
We will continue to El Gato del Río, an iconic sculpture that represents the local fauna and has become a symbol of the city. Don't forget to take photos with this giant cat.
Then we will go to the Obeso Mejía House, a beautiful republican-style mansion that houses a museum dedicated to the history and culture of Cali. Here you can learn about our historical and artistic wealth.
Finally, we will arrive at the La Tertulia Museum, one of the main references for contemporary art in Cali. They will be able to admire works by renowned local and international artists.
