Córdoba a Pie is a company which was born in 2014 to provide to this city guided tours by local young guides. All of us are official guides who have studied the degree of tourism, art history or history. And as we love our city, we have decided to work here to show the secrets of Cordoba and also, to show how the locals like to enjoy our city. To see how professional are we you can check our reviews, but if you want to experience it by your own feet, we encourage you to come and enjoy our tours.
Do you know the part of the historic center called La Axerquía de Córdoba ? Undoubtedly, this area is one of the few that you will not find in the tourist brochures of the city and that, nevertheless, includes a large part of the most beautiful corners of the city , also compiling the collection of the famous Fernandina Churches.
We will meet in the Plaza de la Corredera , one of the most popular squares in the city and which will surprise you due to its similarity to the main square in Madrid. Will these two cities have any similarity being so different?
From here we begin a tour introducing ourselves, through the most beautiful alleys of the city, to the true nucleus of our historic center, where you will discover the authentic squares, alleys and buildings of traditional Córdoba.
We will find different churches that correspond to the so-called group of Fernandina Churches: San Pedro, San Lorenzo, San Agustín, Santa Marina ... Without a doubt, another of the most unknown attractions in Córdoba. If you come with us, we will tell you about its origin and why these buildings are so important today.
Streets like La Palma or Cuesta del Bailío , and monuments like La Regaora or the majestic Christ of the Lanterns , bring to this visit the true and characteristic splendor of our city.
You will find us in the Plaza de la Corredera, next to the market, with the orange umbrella.
