A tour suitable for adults and children that will not only allow you to discover the wonders of " London on the Thames " but will also make you appreciate the perfect combination that currently exists in the capital between "modern" and "ancient".
We will start from Paternoster Square going back in time to discover ancient London . We will travel along the River Thames as the Romans did when they founded Londinium . We will move the clock back to 1666: London, destroyed by the Great Fire , loses its St Paul's Cathedral , but thanks to Christopher Wren the cathedral will not be lost forever. We will cross the Millennium Bridge from which we will already be able to see the bridge of the two towers, the most famous Tower Bridge, in the distance. We will then be catapulted into 1599 when Shakespeare buys half the shares of what is now known as the Globe . We will travel through the life of the great playwright and go to the theater with him. We'll see some plays and then we'll go have a beer together at The Anchor Pub . In the middle of the party, our attention will be captured by screams of terror that will guide us to the Clink Prison . Taken hostage by the prison guards, we will be freed by Sir Francis Drake and his Golden Hinde . We will circumnavigate the globe and land near Southwark Cathedral . A visit to the Gothic cathedral and then off we go to the most awaited stop: The Tower of London . Home to the Crown Jewels, the Tower of London hosts more than 3,000 tourists a year, and quite a few ghosts. Curious to know more? then all you have to do is come with us on this Free Walking Tour !
NB: This is a walking tour along the Thames, not a river cruise.
