Specific tour to visit Santa Maria de Jesus and San Juan del Obispo.
We will take our chicken bus from Antigua to Santa María de Jesus. What will we see here? One of the few open-air markets, textiles, fruits, vegetables, handicrafts, all with the colorful frame of traditional costumes and the Agua volcano decorating the landscape a few meters away. The traditional church with ancestral religious rituals and practices.
We then continued to San Juan del Obispo on our public bus, a town declared picturesque, with a 16th century plaza, a reconstructed palace, the former home of Francisco Marroquín, the founding bishop of Antigua Guatemala, a handmade chocolate factory, a winery that produces fruit ferments and the elaboration of loquat products.
A very pleasant excursion. And where the cost is around Q20 for public buses, round trip, along with the payment of recognition to the Guru.
