Free Historical-Multicultural tour of the old city of Tetouan
Tour description
Tetouan, the most Andalusian city in Morocco, a city where it seems that the clock stopped a long time ago , especially in its medina, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1997, so it still retains its original Andalusian aroma.
Since it was founded by Ali al-Mandri (1440-1515), a name that has become a symbol in Tetouan, the city became a tower in which to observe the roads, while reflecting his pain and nostalgia in Morocco.
Tetouan has always been considered part of a restored Andalusia full of charm, and offers a mix of cultures without neglecting its role as guardian and showcase of the most beautiful traditions.
We will start the free tour with a personalized introduction to the history and culture of the city, a lively description of the Moroccan lifestyle, local markets and the customs of the natives.
Visit the magnificent places in the city. I grew up in Medina so I know all the hidden gems and I love watching people explore the narrow streets.
