We invite you to discover the capital of the country that has changed the most in Latin America. This beautiful city has many interesting stories to tell. Hear these tales from experienced guides as you explore the historic center on this walking tour. We are two guides: Carlos and Gio. We'll meet in front of the National Library, on the steps next to Gerardo Barrios Square in the heart of the city, and learn about the history and interesting facts about San Salvador.
What are we going to visit?
- National Library (BINAES) on the side of La Plaza Gerardo Barrios (start of the tour)
- The Plaza Libertad
- El Rosario Church (Admission $1 USD for nationals and $2 USD for foreigners)
- The Cathedral of San Salvador
- The Crypt of Monsignor Romero
- Kilometer 0 of the city
- Central Market
- Finally, you will have the opportunity to taste typical dishes of Salvadoran cuisine.
NOT INCLUDED: Entrance fees to the El Rosario church, tasting of seasonal fruits, coffee or typical food.
TAKE INTO ACCOUNT:
- Wear comfortable shoes for a 2 hour 45 min to 3 hour walk
-Bring 1 liter of water or you can buy it in the surrounding stores
-Don't forget sunscreen and preferably wear a cap or hat.

Our tours are led by professional tour guides; booking and joining the group is completely free. Since these tours are our guides' full-time jobs, we recommend compensating them with a minimum of €10 or $12 per person.
