Cholon is Saigon’s heaving Chinatown district. It’s a great place to spend at least half a day. It’s hard to believe but Cholon is even more chaotic than downtown Saigon - with a distinctly Chinese character. As downtown Saigon is increasingly overwhelmed by concrete and high-rise towers, we reckon Cholon might be the best place to get a sense of the old unique energy of the city. It's also a fantastic place to grab a bite.
This place is now a significant commercial center of the Chinese in Ho Chi Minh City which still preserves the precious values of culture, religion and architecture dating back thousands of years. The pipe-shaped tiled roofs in Chinatown streets combining with typical Chinese architectures feature a unique classic beauty.
Aside from wandering the streets of Cholon, you can also have a taste of local flavors through a mini food trip! Drink the famous Vietnamese coffee, have a plate of Chinese duck soup noodles, and enjoy a hearty dumpling and sweet soup meal.

Meet outside Bitexco Financial Tower - entrance to the Saigon Skydeck which is opposite to Như Lan Bakery. After short introduction we will catch a public bus to transfer to Chinatown together.
