Explore Bordeaux during the second word war. The tragic capital, named so after the French government relocating here during the Franco-Prussian War, WWI and WWII.
Invaded on the June 28th, 1940 we will embark on a journey discovering life during occupation for the local people. You will visit some very important locations in the city as well as hearing stories to bring the history to life.
Included will be the topics
We will learn of the entire occupation phase in Bordeaux from 1940 to 1944.
You will need a transport ticket for this tour as we use the tram to visit our last site, the submarine base.
