General Cemetery of Santiago: An open-air museum.
In this tour we will be able to know this important jewel of architecture and historical monument. In addition to finding beautifully decorated tombs, we will walk through some of its streets. An opportunity to connect with art, silence and nostalgia in a kind and respectful way. It is not intended to be a gloomy tour but a contemplative one.
We will visit the most important tombs and mausoleums in architectural and historical terms (Italian Mausoleum and its stained glass windows, Gothic mausoleums, Moorish mausoleum, Mesoamerican mausoleum, Yellow Chapel, among others). We will be able to enjoy a very green tour as it is full of trees and gardens.
We will meet at the Cementerios (Recoleta) Metro station and walk to the southern sector of the Cemetery (Avenida Zañartu) to finish the tour at the Hospitales (Independencia) metro station. Approximately 2 and a half hours of travel.

Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
