THE ARANJUEZ OF FELIPE II
For an hour we will visit the origins of Aranjuez upon the arrival of Felipe II in the 16th century to this completely virgin area where he will begin his great architectural work with the Royal Palace while building the Monastery of El Escorial and its hydraulic engineering works. that last to this day.
In this outdoor visit we will be able to delight ourselves with works of art such as:
- Facade of the Royal Room and the Palace Oratory
- King's Garden
- Jardín de la Isla where you can see hydraulic engineering works such as the Jardín de la Isla dam, canalization systems of that time, the construction of the Mar de Ontigola, etc.
Due to the extension of the gardens for an hour we will have the option of visiting the main façade of the Palace and Jardin del Rey or Jardin de la Isla with all its Baroque fountains. Those who wish to see the entire visit must indicate so and reserve two hours.
In order for the visits to be carried out, the reservation must be made at least 12 hours before the scheduled time and with a minimum of two people per visit.
