Free tour Peniche: Trails and Balconies full of Mysteries (Trilhos e Varandas repletos de Mistérios)
Tour description
🔸During our tour Trilhos e Varandas repletos de Mistérios (Trails and Balconies full of Mysteries), you'll be surprised about the amount of time that we will be walking by the sea. During the tour you are going to get to know more about legends, culture, traditions, curiosities as well as hidden places with historical remains and mysteries. We'll take you to places that are hidden and not so touristy while admiring beautiful landscapes. If the weather cooperates, you’re going to observe part of the Portuguese coast that goes all the way down until Santa Cruz and catch a glimpse of the Berlengas archipelago. You’ll enjoy certain views from several viewpoints, carreiros (natural coastal recesses) and small beautiful beaches, which are amazing for you to take some pictures.
🔸What we're going to visit on our tour:
- Fortress of Peniche (where the tour starts)
- Miradouro do Alto da Vela (viewpoint)
- Bairro do Visconde (a typical neighborhood)
- Tromba
- Carreiro de Joanes
- Caves and natural balconies
- Cabo Carvoeiro & Farol do Cabo Carvoeiro (Carvoeiro Cape and the Lighthouse - end of the tour)
🔸If you're having second thoughts on whether you should do this tour with us or not, let us help you: who better to guide you on a tour around town than a local? Oh! Almost forgot to mention that we are the only ones doing it! Why? Because most people think that Peniche is summed up to the beach, surf, and Berlengas. But Peniche is way more than just that and we are here to show you that in just a small piece of land you can find and learn about the heritage of 180 million years and secrets and stories like no other place.
