Free Tour of the everlasting Ourense
Tour description
History, literature, and fashion intertwine in Ourense. As the Miño River flows through the city, it will whisper stories it has witnessed over the centuries.
Come discover Ourense with me. Allow me to accompany you on a fascinating city. In the mid-20th century, it was known as the Athens of Galicia. Did you know it's also known as the City of Water? On this guided tour, I'll show you the city's most iconic landmarks, from its main square—the only sloping plaza in Spain—to its 67-degree Burgas fountain, its Cathedral, and many other interesting facts only locals know about. Join me in this welcoming city, with fantastic cuisine and, most importantly, wonderful people who'll make you feel at home in this city from the very first minute.
The tour will begin in the Bispo Cesáreo Gardens next to its imposing fountain, where we will visit:
- The Burgas
- Plaza Mayor
- Saint Mary the Royal
- Magdalena Square
- Ourense Cathedral
- Saint Euphemia
We will end the tour at the Padre Feijóo Gardens.
It's spring, the perfect time to admire the city from one of its fantastic terraces while sipping on some of the province's wonderful wines.
I'll wait for you!
