"Vertical" Candlelight Tour Visiting an Ancient Tower House in Città Alta - Bergamo

Romantic “vertical” candlelight tour in an ancient private tower house in Città Alta, the historic center of Bergamo, a residence that has belonged to my family for many generations. From the ground floor, of medieval origins, we will reach the top two floors via stairs and landings, touching first-hand the historical evolution of the building, but also of the city of Bergamo itself. We will then immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of the interiors, lit as they once were with candles, a unique experience that will allow you to learn, live, the habits and lifestyle of times gone by. You will see furnishings, furniture, paintings and collections that range from the Renaissance to the early years of the last century. During the visit I will tell you anecdotes and curiosities about Bergamo and how life flowed in it in times gone by. You will feel like you are reliving the time that was, surrounded by objects and family heirlooms, an experience that will make you love our beautiful city and its most secret peculiarities even more. Finally, from the top floor windows, while the view will sweep over the rooftops, the underlying Lower Town and the profile of the Orobic Prealps, we will be able to conclude our “vertical” tour in style by sipping, again by candlelight, a “grappino”, a typical Bergamo liqueur, a pomace brandy obtained from grapes produced and vinified exclusively in Italy.
