I am a graduate in art history form VLC university and I have been specialized in the historical center of Valencia, in Gastrocultura (Bakeries and patisseries of the city), Turrón do Xixona, Vinos do Valencia and Fallas de VLC for many years. I am very proud to show Valencia and It is a real passion to make discover to people who visit us the heritage and historical level that specially the city has. Otherwise, I try to make the tours very enjoyable to visitors by telling many anecdotes and to make feel as good as possible. As if they were at home. :)
On the Valencian Modernism route we can admire buildings and monuments of great plasticity that were part of a great urban expansion called the expansion at the end of the 19th century in Valencia.
The modernist style was in part linked to the upper bourgeoisie that drank from Central European modernist sources and ended up personalizing it as its own and/or regional in exemplary buildings such as the Mercado de Colón, Casa de VicenTe Ferrer or the Estación del Norte train station, which is where tour ends.
This route is full of details and a wonderful artistic interest that will help to discover one of the urban and architectural personalities most appreciated by visitors when they discover the city of Valencia in depth.
I will be right at the end of the escalators at the Plaza de los Pinazo exit of the Colón Metro, carrying an identification with orange letters and an official guide card.
