Hello there, my name is Luiz, a local tour guide who was born and raised in the largest favela in South America! I speak fluent English and am ready to take you through this unique neighborhood and answer all your questions!

The tours start at an easy to access meeting point and from there, the tourists won't just take pictures and sightsee as they will also enter the local Favela and see the real reality of the place, not what the media portrays.
The tours start at top of the Favela, a safe point, and then we walk down the hill to the São Conrado subway station where the tourists can pick the subway to go back or uber. Straightforward walking from point A to B, sightseeing, pictures, and explanations about the Favela.

As a local, my tour is real and far from scripted or artificial! Tips are to be given PER PERSON.

Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
