We'll meet at the scheduled time in front of the Strozzi Palace to begin this free Medici tour. Ready? Let's go!
From there, we'll enter the courtyard of this complex to talk about the life of the wealthy Strozzi family, one of the most important of the time. We'll head to Piazza della Repubblica, followed by the Orsanmichele building and the Mercato Nuovo. What is the connection between these places and the Medici? We'll find out!
We'll also visit the Palagio di Parte, where we'll discuss the conflict between the Guelphs and Ghibellines that shaped the history of Florence and influenced the rise of the Medici family. We'll walk through the narrow streets traditionally called the Florentine chiassi until we reach Piazza del Limbo.
