Free Tour in the heart of the historic center of Palma
Tour description
Hello! I'm Marina, your Official Guide in the Balearic Islands. I was born in this beautiful Mediterranean city and I'm delighted to share with you my love for Palma and its charms, every corner has a fascinating story that I want to tell you. Ready to explore together?
What are we going to see?
We meet next to the statue of Es Foner to discover the origin of the islands and on our walk around the iconic Almudaina Palace , the centre of power on the island for centuries and the charming gardens of S'Hort del Rei, we will discover how the city was founded by Romans, shaped by Muslims and immortalised by Christians.
We will walk along the Paseo del Borne , following the old bed of the Torrente de Sa Riera , to the picturesque church of San Nicolás and we will go up to the upper part of the city to the Plaza de Cort , km 0 of the island, presided over by a century-old olive tree and buildings of great architectural beauty such as the Town Hall and the Consell de Mallorca, discovering curious historical figures, traditions and folklore of the island.
Exploring the surroundings of Santa Eulalia , considered the first church in the city, we will talk about the Jewish Quarters and the emblematic Patios de Palma, immersing ourselves in legends and traditions. In addition, I will share gastronomic recommendations to enjoy the local flavors.
We conclude our tour near the Episcopal Palace and El Mirador , which will give us spectacular views of the Parque del Mar and the bay of Palma, with the majestic Cathedral as the final touch of this tour. Do you dare to discover Palma from a unique perspective? I assure you that you will fall in love with this city!
