Currently I work at Veragua Rainforest Research & Adventure Park as a Tourism Guide. From 2019 to March 2020 I had the opportunity to work as a Tourist Guide at the Lankester Botanical Garden. In 2021 I graduated from the University of Costa Rica, I am a Professional in Ecological Tourism. Due to the impact of the pandemic on the tourism sector, in 2021 I founded La Alegría Tours, a local venture that offers the Tourism Guide service focused on ecotourism. I will take you to discover incredible and exclusive places. It will be a unique experience. I know every corner of La Alegría, I will gladly share valuable information about our nature and culture. It will be a tour that will allow you to swim in your own waterfall, without the crowds, without a doubt, a place to connect with nature.
Enjoy a unique trip, guided by your host Jean Franco, Professional in Ecological Tourism. You can visit two or even three waterfalls and the viewpoint towards the Reventazón lagoon.
The meeting point is at 8:00 am at Sardar Pizza, then we will go to Las Lomas (8 minutes by car). Once here, we enter the property that offers parking and entrance to the first waterfall. After a short 15-minute walk, we reached Las Lomas Waterfall and in just under an hour we returned to the vehicle.
At 9:30 am we continue advancing 2.8 km along Calle Las Lomas (ballast) towards the San Alejo Waterfall , arriving at 9:50 am at the property that offers parking and entrance to the Reserve. Once here, we will walk for 25 minutes, through the forest and pasture until we reach the waterfall. Its 27 m fall will leave you surprised and in an hour we will return to the vehicle.
At 11:40 am, we will continue advancing 400 m along Calle Las Lomas until we reach the end of the street. Here we leave the vehicle parked and walk 100 m until we reach the Reventazón River Lagoon Viewpoint , where the tour ends and we return to the meeting point (Sardar Pizza), around 12:30 pm.
There is the possibility of visiting a third waterfall, it remains on the route, however the descent is complicated, if we go we will finish around 13:10 pm.

Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
