Tour description

Please read the description carefully before deciding to join!

Budapest at night is truly an incredible sight. Light reflected from the beautiful buildings or the Danube River gives it a magical aura that makes it very different from when it’s seen during the day. On this tour, we check out all the main attractions: the Parliament, St. Stephen’s Basilica, Liberty Square, Shoes on the Danube, Gresham Palace, Chain Bridge, Fishermen Bastion, Matthias Church...

First we go around the Pest side, then we'll cross the river and take a bus up to Buda Castle. So you'll need one or two bus tickets for the tour. I'll explain in detail how public transport works. Since the tour starts quite late and lasts about 2.5 hours, I highly recommend having dinner before the tour.

We’ll talk about everything: history, people, funny stories and facts, food and drinks... If you are a photo enthusiast, you won't find the setting better than this.

Some people think, because of the name of the tour, that the tour is about spooky stuff. It is not. I just want to show you how beautiful at nigth Budapest is.

Every tour is a bit different, depending on what participants are interested in the most and what they had done in Budapest before joining me. The goal is simple: that everybody enjoys the tour as much as possible!
The pace is relaxed, the atmosphere informal and friendly, suited for everybody. You'll get a lot of inside information and recommendations about the best places to visit, restaurants, museums, bars, and thermal baths.

My tours are designed to be accessible and enjoyable for all ages and abilities, with a focus on safety, comfort, and inclusivity. This is a small group tour, so don't expect a big crowd. If you can't book for a certain day, message me, and we'll figure out something.

I take tips in cash or PayPal, so please keep that in mind.

Please come to the meeting point at least five minutes before the start of the tour. We leave promptly five minutes after the indicated starting time. If you are going to be late, please contact me and we'll figure out something. If you can't join, please cancel the booking and don't wait for the last moment. It is not fair to other walkers.

Looking forward to meeting you all!

Our meeting point. This is the most important church in Hungary, dedicated to the very first king and saint, Stephen. Here you will hear how Hungarians came to Europe, how they got that name (in their own language is Magyars), and how they built the state. Why did it take more than 50 years to build Basilica?
