¿Te has sentido alguna vez cómo en casa estando tan lejos? 🇬🇧⁣ ⁣When you get to the meeting point you will see 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗼 🖖, "𝘦𝘭 𝘨𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘰" for the Tours of Soho and Jack the Ripper. Journalist and resident guide in 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀 for almost a decade. ⁣ It fills me with pride and satisfaction 🤴to present: ⁣⁣Don't miss out on these tours: ⁣1. Historical rigor. 2. Have a good time. 3. A lot of theater. 4. Sense of humor. 5. Empathy. ⁣The future of Free Tours belongs to independent guides, not to agencies that advertise with great fanfare on Google and then "ná de ná". ☝️ ⁣So 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗔, take it out of my hands... ⁣

Tour description

Once the law is made, the trap is set!

SOHO is synonymous with revolution in the modern era. The place where nudity was reinvented in theatres and the system was challenged with the first communist manifesto.

I'll take you to discover the ins and outs of the Opium War in Chinatown and we'll uncover the shame of the most womanizing English king.

  • We will pass by the famous Red Lion , the historic pub where Marx and Engels met to change the course of history with pints and some very thoughtful conversations, I have no doubt.
  • We will stop at the legendary Windmill Theatre , which opened a new era in the world of Burlesque, cleverly avoiding the censorship of the time with its daring and provocative performances.
  • We will walk through the streets of the most famous gay district in the world, remembering the King of SOHO, Paul Raymond . We will talk about the rise of sex shops and the decline of night clubs in an area that survived one of the most devastating cholera pandemics thanks to the tenacity of Dr. John Snow.

🎸
The Rolling Stones and Jimi Hendrix will be our travelling companions as we walk through the iconic streets of Carnaby Street, the symbol of the 70s. There, fashion and music intertwined to create a completely new culture.

🏁The end of this path will be the legendary Palladium Theatre , near Oxford Circus , where The Beatles set out to conquer the world from the heart of London.

We can work it OUT!
