Free Tour The secrets of Rome
Tour description
I am native from Bosnia and I live in Rome for many years. I graduated in Painting and Art History and I continue to cultivate my passion for this city that could be compared to a bottomless treasure chest, the beauty that never runs out and never ceases to surprise.
I decided to become a tour guide because I would like to share my passion for the hidden and mysterious beauties of Rome.
I like to show a secret corner that would otherwise remain unnoticed and discover a "whole world" full of charm, beauty and the paradox of human being, remains and monuments that are not always known, very often overshadowed because they are close to the "symbolic monument" of this city, but no less fascinating.
I love making unknown and somewhat anonymous places known but which are essential for feeling the charm of Rome in a more profound and intimate way.
Anyone who loves "secondary roads", mysteries and secrets in the hidden alleys of Rome, will have the opportunity to make a visit that responds to the increasingly felt need of the modern traveler which is to be more satisfied on spiritual, intellectual and a esthetic prospective of veiw .
Description of the tour
The itinerary starts from Piazza Venezia in front of the Altare della Patria which we will admire in all its grandeur, then we will see the Tomb of Bibulus, a funerary monument from the 1st century BC.
We will stop in front of a plaque commemorating Michelangelo's house in Rome, we will head towards the Galleria Sciarra - a jewel of 19th century Rome, then continue towards the Trevi Fountain, we will cross via del Corso, the most famous shopping street in Rome, then follows the visit of the church of Sant'Ignazio to be able to admire the amazing illusionistic painting by Andrea Pozzo, see the Pantheon from the outside and discover the point where Julius Caesar was stabbed and see what was once the house of San Paolo in Rome when he came to have a fair trial. Next is the Palazzo della Cancelleria with its unique history linked to gambling then we will turn right to enter Arco degli Acetari- a scenario from another time where it seems that time has stopped. The tour ends in Campo de Fiori, the famous market, place of execution of witches in the past and much more...
