Free walking tours in Amman

Can’t quite capture what a fantastic experience our tour with Ibrahim was! First, we ended needing some flexibility in timing, and as we happened to be the only guests for this particular tour (tourism greatly impacted in Jordan currently), Ibrahim couldn’t have been more accommodating to ensure we were still able to take part in the tour! The tour was so informative about the history of Jordan and the region, with context about the past and present including norms and the evolution of Jordanian society. Ibrahim took us on SO MANY unique stops through the downtown/old town core, walking through the bustling streets and into so many unique and delicious places in both old and new markets. By the way - we didn’t realize how much food we’d get to taste!! This is truly one of our most unique travel experiences and made it the best first day welcome to Jordan. And lastly - we ended with a truly VIP experience at the Roman Baths ruins - you just have to go to experience it. Thank you, Ibrahim, for such a fantastic experience and your hospitality!

I loved my walking tour with Ibrahim! He was kind, knowledgeable, and we had a great conversation about everything during the tour. I was able to learn about everything from the ancient history to the everyday local life in the market. He even pointed out a great local barber and I was able to go back and get a beard trim for $1.50! I had a private tour because at the moment, there are almost no tourists here (due to a very incompetent world leader...) but please come to Amman!! It's safe, friendly, and there amazing people like Ibrahim who rely on the interest and generosity of travelers. I would highly recommend taking a tour with Ibrahim!! شكرا!

Actually it's not my first time in jordan, but my first time with a companion. And difenatly not my first time with Tamim. I came with intentions to book with him as last time and I can honestly day It did not fail . My experience this time even better 😌 Thank you so much for the great time we had with you. Salma was a great guide. I was the only one in the tour so I was happy we did it. She showed me areas of Amman that I probably would have not seen if it hadn't been in her tour. I was also very glad to have a woman do this tour since I got a completely different view point than what men provide, especially since traveling in the Middle East, I mostly get male guides. Salma showed me some great street art from female artist and she was able to share some of the struggles and victories of women in Amman and Jordan. Best of luck in everything you do Salma!

We walked all around downtown Amman, he told us about the history of the city and we got to try falafel, nuts and sweets around the market. Fantastic tour of downtown Amman. Ibrahim knew everyone. Showed us all manner of food markets with included food and coffee samples. A great way to get a feel for the city of Amman. Very informative and entertaining. Highly recommend!

Excellent tour! Ibrahim walked us thru the different souq’s and around the downtown area. Along the way we were able to try lots of different foods and drinks - which was a pleasant and unexpected surprise! He gave us tips on what to pay, what to buy and areas/shops to be wary of. His English is great! Definitely recommend!

We booked Majd’s tour on our first day in Amman, and it was absolutely fantastic! Communication beforehand via WhatsApp was seamless, and adjusting the time last-minute due to Ramadan was no problem at all. The tour was led by Majd and his cousin Carlos. Carlos picked us up, brought us to their home, and served tea on their rooftop with a stunning view over Amman. Then Majd joined, and together they guided us through the streets of Amman, sharing fascinating stories, personal anecdotes, and authentic insights into local life. We tried an incredible amount of local food – far more than expected – and even received small gifts. What really stood out: although the tour is tip-based, we were treated to drinks, lots of food, perfume, taxi rides, and more. Their hospitality is truly unmatched! It’s clear that Majd and Carlos are well-connected and know everyone in the neighborhood. Another highlight was a surprise taxi ride up a hill to visit a mosque – unforgettable! The tour was originally planned for 2.5 hours, but we ended up spending 4.5 hours – and every minute was worth it. If you want to explore the markets with locals, ask anything, and get a real sense of life in Amman, this tour is a must. We wish Majd and Carlos all the best and hope they continue to delight many more visitors as they did for us!

Ibrahim was very professional and knowledgeable. The tour is all around down town so no steps to climb! Lots of markets were visited and there were opportunities to try and buy ( if you wanted to - there was no pressure) many foods and other products. We enjoyed learning about Jordan’s culture and its history. Thank you for the tips and tricks of your culture!

Very knowledgeable and fun way to get to know Amman. He is very kind, knows a lot of people in town, we toured around bazaar with a lot food choices and shopping areas. Ibrahim is a good guy and a great tour guy
