Taksim to Galata Tower via Istiklal Street

Welcome to Istanbul Dear Walkers!

Our tour begins from the heart of the city called Taksim Square and ends in the Galata Tower.
We start by walking from Taksim Square heading to İstiklâl Street towards Galata district. On the way, we see several religious buildings.
We enjoy the great view of the Galata Tower from outside. Then we see some historical buildings from Ottoman times.

We keep the number of walkers between 7-12 in our tours.  

Itinerary:

• Taksim Square and Cumhuriyet (Republic) Monument
• Taksim Mosque (inside if available)
• İstiklâl Street
• Nostalgic Tram and the 2nd oldest Funicular of the World
• French, Greek, Dutch, Swedish, British and Russian Consulates
• Galatasaray School
• Galata Dervish Lodge (outside)
• Galata Tower (outside)
• St Antony Catholic Church (inside)
• Neve Shalom Synagogue (outside)

Plus we will be able to show(not tasting) famed food&drink points such as 'Wet Hamburger, San Sebastian Cheesecake, İçli Köfte, Strong Turkish Coffee etc'.

Please note that;

• it is around 2 km of walking. 

• at the end of the tour, you are expected to tip the guide minimum 10 Euros or 400 liras per person. 
• The tour duration may vary depending on the guide and the number of participants. 
• Smoking and consumption of alcohol are strictly prohibited during the tour.
• For church and mosque visits modest clothing is highly advised. (Covering your shoulders&knees, and not wearing short shorts and sleeveless shirts)
