Mexico City Food Tour

Alexia was a great tacos guide! We had some really delicious tacos which we wouldn’t have tried on our own. I like her emphasis on authenticity and eating where ordinary Mexicans would eat. Try the tacos!

Great way to experience Mexican food, particularly some dishes that you might not otherwise try. We’d been in Mexico City for 5 days before this and not had any of what we tried on this tour. The Mixcoac area feels authentic and Ian was a great tour guide 😄. Best if you go hungry and share portions if possible!

We had a great time on Kaare’s street food tour. The food was excellent, and we learned a lot about Mexico City along the way. It was especially interesting to visit Mixcoac, a historic neighborhood that we probably never would have explored on our own. It feels far from the usual tourist areas but is still easy to get to from more touristy areas like Condesa or Roma. Kaare was easy to talk to and happy to chat about pretty much anything, from food and local history to everyday life in the city. The conversation felt natural, and the tour never felt rushed. We’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a more local side of Mexico City.

Amanda brought me to three places to try tacos and much more. Really liked how she explained the different types of tacos in the first stop and how it works eg cheese extra charge, free lime and salsa to add and its opening hours if I want to visit again. The second stall was nice where I tried Horchata. It tasted fresh and seats in that stall are comfortable. Last stop was Tortas Al Fuego which has really good pastor tacos. All good selections and really appreciate Amanda’s explanation of all the food and a bit of insight if mexico outside of the food.

The evening taco walking tour was wonderful. We went to three places with different styles of food. In our group, one was vegetarian, two did not eat red meat and one ate all types of food. All were accommodated. The guides gave excellent information and were very helpful. This was so much fun I would do it again!

We ended up having a private tour with Renato and it was amazing! He was knowledgeable, professional and really funny (he's also a stand up comedian). A lot of streets and sites were blocked because of an ongoing protest, but he still found ways to navigate us around it and give us the historical context. We would highly recommend a tour with Renato

Very informative and great intro to the variety of street food in Mexico City - especially for someone like me who has been wanting to try it but felt intimidated trying to order on my own. It was a nice way to venture out of the touristy areas. There is a lot of food to try so don’t eat before hand.

we had a great time today getting to know Mexico City with our guide! she was very passionate about her city and culture and gave us great tips on where to eat and what to try while we are here! the tour was a mix of mexican culture and history.

David did a really great job not only showing us awesome taco places, teaching us food history but also gave us a lot of real nice historical input on the food and Mexicós history it self. We felt really comfortable with him and enjoyed the taco tour. We can totally recommend this tour if you are not only in to food but also learning about history.

Great tour full of great food! I tried a few things that were new to me. It’s a fairly small area and I plan to return to explore and eat more on my own! Come super hungry. It’s a super lot of food and I could not keep up!

Truly an amazing experience ! Ian is very interesting guide who has a lot of information to give about the origins of the food we are eating, but also lets us enjoy it. Needless to say that the food was amazing too. Would 100% recommend

This was such a fun and delicious tour in a non-touristy part of Mexico City! Ian was friendly, knowledgeable, and showed us the authentic street food scene in a local neighborhood. The tour was paced well and we enjoyed all the food we got! If you are looking for a culinary experience with a true local, this is your tour!

Wonderful walk around the city. Our guide Bellen (I hope I got that right!) was perfect. Her passion for the town really shines through her tour. We learnt a lot and she showed us some great places to try on our first visit to CDMX!
