After a long stage as a guide around the world, I am going to show you the closest thing to my land, the Urdaibai Nature Reserve. Specifically, the Villa Foral de Gernika-Lumo, which has witnessed the great history of Euskal Herria. I have recently created URDAIBAI EXPERIENCE, a Tourism Agency dedicated to showing all the charms of Urdaibai, where Gernika, Mundaka, Bermeo and San Juan de Gaztelugatxe are located, among other beautiful places. Tour description

Gernika has been a benchmark in the history of Euskal Herria not only for being the center of Basque culture and politics thanks to the location of the Casa de Juntas, but also as the center of a Natural Biosphere Reserve such as Urdaibai.

Through this tour we will learn what this town is like and why it was founded and what Gernika was like before its devastating bombardment in 1937 , the streets and buildings that survived, why Gernika was chosen and what really happened.

It will be a simple, familiar and close visit. We can all enjoy it and learn a little more about the character of the Basques.

Gernika-Lumo belongs to the region of the Urdaibai Nature Reserve where you can enjoy a multitude of outdoor activities, enjoy our gastronomy and learn about our culture.
