Guanabacoa Free Tour
Tour description
The tour begins in the Central Park of Guanabacoa, where I will tell you about the origins of Guanabacoa, its first inhabitants and I will tell you the story of how the capital of Cuba was for months. Walking down Martí Street, I will show you the Municipal Museum, where the best museum collection of Afro-Cuban themes can be found, and I will tell you a little about the connotation of African religions in my town. We will visit the home of Francisco Viondi, where Martí lived, and I will tell you the anecdotes of our National Hero in Guanabacoa. We will surround the group of the Escolapios, a Catholic institution that introduced the Normal Schools in Cuba, and where several personalities of Cuban politics and culture were formed. We will arrive at the Parque de la Cotorra, a place of special beauty and we will go up to the Loma de la Cruz, where the most beautiful natural viewpoint in Havana is located, which reveals a fairly wide social landscape and I will tell you the details of the taking of La Havana for the English.
